Pueraria, known as “White Kwao Khruea ”, is a local herb commonly found in the forests in the northern, western, and northeastern parts of Thailand at an elevation of 300 - 800 meters.

The crucial substances found in the rhizome are mostly Phytoestrogens, such as Miroestrol and Deoxymiroestrol that have the highest estrogenic activity among the Phytoestrogens but are contained in small amounts. Other important substances are also Isoflavones such as Puerarin, Puerarin-6-Monoacetate, Genistein, Daidzein, Daidzin, Genistin and Coumestrans such as Coumestrol. Although Puerarin has less estrogenic activity than Miroestrol and Deoxymiroestrol, Puerarin is the particular substance in Pueraria which is present in high quantity compared with Miroestrol.

Pueraria extract is used in cosmetics such as Breast Cream, Eye Gel, Skin Moisturizer, Hair Tonic and Hair Growth Products. It is also used in Dietary Supplements. Isoflavones and Phytoestrogens in Pueraria will remedy an estrogenic deficiency, caused by natural causes after entering the aging conditions for example, sagging breasts, wrinkled skin, bone loss, gray hair, etc.
