They both are typically found in the same areas such as the Northern, North eastern, and Western Regions of Thailand.

The active ingredients found in Butea are 4'-methoxyfisentin or 3,7,3'-trihydroxy-4'-methoxyflavone and 4'-methoxyfisetin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside or 3,5'-dihydroxy-4'methoxy flavone-7--O-β-D-glucopyranoside.

Reportedly, the chemicals in Butea are non mutagenic and can generate a vasodilating effect, especially in a penis, the same effect as is caused by Viagra®.
